Founded in 1945, Restwell Mattress Factory began its journey in St. Paul with father and son partners, David and Max Bloomberg. For 45 years the Bloomberg family successfully produced mattresses with the importance of quality, honest value, and family at the forefront. In 1990, the Carlson family, being long-time innovators in the Minnesota flooring industry, purchased Restwell Mattress with these same values in mind.

 

The Carlsons, eager to leverage their expertise with Carpet King, relocated Restwell to Eden Prairie and quickly expanded its commercial and retail business. Through the decades, the Carlsons have upheld their founding values while constantly evolving to meet our customers' changing needs. Our family-led approach ensures that every mattress we produce is a testament to our heritage, guaranteeing our dedication to quality and value.
